NEW: 2017 EAST WOODS MATH LEAGUE RESULTS

East Woods Elementary School again continued to rank high in the international Math League competition.

This year, we had 87 East Woods students participate in the contests. In 4th grade, the school placed 28th overall out of 705 schools across North America. One student, Riya Hegde, placed 69th out of all of the 4th grade students.

In 5th grade, East Woods placed 41st out of 906 schools that competed in the contest. Additionally, Margaret Chen led Hudson by placing 135th overall.

Both girls were invited to Math League’s annual summer math camp for top scorers. We are very proud of everybody who participated, and are looking forward to another great year next year!

2017 Middle School MathCOUNTS Results!

The thirty-fourth (34^th) annual Akron area MathCOUNTS competition was held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at the University of Akron Student Union. The Hudson Middle School team of David Li, Hannah Ma, John Main, and Jack Vogel won 4^th place in a competition against 14 middle school teams totaling 100 students from Medina, Portage, and Summit counties. Congratulations Team!

BREAKING NEWS: 2016 East Woods Math League Results!!

This year, East Woods Elementary School continued its proud tradition of ranking high in the International Math League competition.

East Woods’ fourth graders placed 37^th out of 714 schools worldwide, and its fifth graders placed 35^th out of 924 schools worldwide.

East Woods also had two individual top fourth grade scorers. Margaret Chen placed 37^th, while Samuel Vogel placed 159^th out of all of the fourth grade students worldwide.

Additionally, Leo Bangayan and Anthony Yuhos tied with a score of 27, placing 180^th out of the over 50,000 students who took the fifth grade contest internationally.

We are very proud of the exceptional work and significant accomplishments of all of our students, and look forward to another great year next year together!
